Seeing as Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on loads of beauty products at the moment, when I went in to buy a new moisturiser I picked up a couple of Revlon's Coloburst Balm Crayons too! I've seen these reviewed on a lot of blogs and have been wanting to give them a try for ages, so this was the perfect opportunity. I really do hope Boots keep this offer going for as long as possible as it makes getting my beauty fix a lot less taxing on my bank account and seems to ease my guilty conscious slightly when having a spending splurge.

Firstly, I decided to go for the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey - a pink-toned nude. I absolutely love the shade, it's the ultimate 'your lips only better' colour for my lip tone. Like all Revlon Balm Crayons, it has a lovely minty scent to keep your mouth feeling fresh! The crayon glides on so smoothly and has a lightweight yet moisturising texture that leaves lips conditioned, which is great for anyone prone to dry lips like me! When the slight sheen from the balm fades, it leaves a subtle flush of colour on the lips that lasts for hours. I tend to wear minimal makeup most days and I've taken to wearing Honey to make myself look more alive - it's a great pick-me-up when you need to rush out the door, plus due to its sheer texture you don't need a mirror to apply it! Foolproof!

Secondly, I chose the Colorburst Matte Balm in Standout - a medium berry red. This is such a lovely red that flatters every skin-tone! Unlike some other matte products, this one doesn't dry out lips thanks to its super nourishing properties from Revlon's triple butter complex of shea, coconut and mango butters. Matte Balm applies like a dream, it's so luxurious and comforting! It also shares the delicious peppermint scent of the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains! For anyone a bit dubious about braving a red lip, Standout would be a great choice - its soft, velvety finish makes it so easy to apply! It's also perfect for creating a modern, slightly un-done red lip - after applying, use your ring finger to slightly blend the edges of the lip for a look that's more catwalk than pin-up.

Has anyone else tried the Revlon Colorbust Balm Crayons? What are your favourite shades?
