Fallen from the lipstick tree, makeup maestro Charlotte Tilbury's K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipsticks are one of this year's most sought after products. The range comes in 10 stunning shades, each created in the spirit of a timeless beauty icon. I opted for Penelope Pink, a pinky nude named after the Dolce Vita red carpet look that Charlotte created for Penelope Cruz. As a stickler for a good nude lip, I'm absolutely in love with this colour and it's ravishing on any skin tone.

One of my favourite things about the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks is their unique texture. The special blend of waxes ensures the bullet glides over lips softly and easily, but with great colour payoff. Best of all, there's no bleeding outside the lip line and contours are left perfectly defined without the need for lip liner (but by all means add some for amped up glamour!) The K.I.S.S.I.N.G. collection has a semi-matte finish but contains clever light-diffusing pigments that leave lips looking pert and plumped with luxurious luminosity.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Charlotte Tilbury product without a little magic thrown in, and her signature lipstick range is enriched with a secret ingredient: the Lipstick Tree - a tropical plant that Indigenous Americans used to paint and protect their lips. The Lip Stick Tree is full of lip-loving properties, protecting lips from UV damage and oxidative stress to keep them soothed and hydrated. As Charlotte puts it, "perfect, full, kissable lips really do grow on trees"!

Finally, I must mention the truly exquisite packaging... just holding the gorgeous rose gold tube makes me feel like I did as a child, watching my mum apply lipstick and thinking it was the most glamorous thing that a person could do. With classic style and cashmere softness only a quick slick away, I'm really sold on the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. collection and can't wait to snap up a few more of Charlotte's iconic shades.
