Model Moment: Christie Leigh

Joining Girl Culture for this month's Model Moments is out-of-this-world beauty Christie Leigh. If you're a frequent visitor to the Urban Outfitters website, you've most probably seen her ethereal loveliness staring through your computer screen. The pixie-sized model has also starred in campaigns for cult hair brand Bleach London and been featured as one of GQ's top ten hottest women... and it's not hard to see why!

Christie's off-duty style:
"I'd describe my style as quite silly really - I dont think you should take fashion too seriously, it's about being yourself. I really love Opening Ceremony for something a bit more special... but for my day to day clothes I'm quite a magpie, finding things from charity shops or eBay. Topshop are great for basics. I buy all my underwear from American Apparel and Calvin Klein - I think there's something really sexy about simple underwear."

This season's model must-haves:

"I'd say a good backpack is my summer essential - I've got my eye on a canvas DKNY one at the moment which is up there in my wish list. I also love JanSport backpacks for a more practical but still cool look. Carrying my portfolio book around London, especially in summer, is really hard so backpacks are like my best friends."

Christie's beauty picks:
"I try not to wear much make up because my skin gets quite irritated on jobs and I don't want to add to it. I use a gentle cleansing milk from Neutrogena to take make up off - facial wipes are too aggressive for my skin so I never use them. I use a MAC waterproof mascara which is great because I go swimming a lot and panda eyes are not a great look. I also really like the Topshop Cream Blushers because they are really light and you can use them on your lips and cheeks."

Go platinum like Christie:
"I get my roots done around every six weeks to avoid yellow bands and i always go to a salon - Bleach London is great because they really understand how delicate bleached hair is. I use Pro:Voke Silver Shampoo every time I wash my hair, but I try not to wash it too much to keep my scalp healthy. It's quite difficult keeping my hair in good condition, especially having it curled and crimped everyday on shoots, so I use the Bleach London Reincarnation Mask everytime I wash and Philip Kingsley Elasticizer around twice a week. I also try to have it trimmed every other week. If I've got a week or so off of work then I'll get a wash-in colour from Crazy Color - they have LOADS of ace colours, my faves are marshmallow and platinum. It is really difficult keeping bleached hair healthy, but its so worth it."
