Bioderma Hydrabio Mask

Bioderma Hydrabio Mask - £14.50

I briefly mentioned Bioderma's amazing moisturising mask in my '10 central heating skin & hair saviours' piece for the Telegraph's beauty section, but I felt it needed its own spot on Girl Culture too as it's one of my most-used products this winter. In a past post I spoke about my recent struggle with adult acne (more updates on this very soon!) and how my prescription retinoid cream can leave skin crazily dry and flakey. It was so dehydrated, some days I couldn't wear makeup! Even over layers of moisturiser, dry patches would show up as soon as I applied anything - even around my eye area. My skin was in total meltdown mode and it seemed nothing could fix it.

Luckily, by some stroke of fate, I discovered Bioderma's Hydrabio Mask in a beauty sale at work. This stuff is a complete godsend for dry or irritated skin and works in just 10 minutes (yes, really). You simply apply a thick layer of the cool, comforting cream all-over then wipe off with a cotton pad - which also helps to gently exfoliate the dry patches. Skin is left radiant and smooth, redness is instantly reduced and your whole face basically feels like it's just had a big glass of water.

The Hydrabio Mask is designed to be used weekly, but for complexions in need of some serious TLC start off using every day for 7 days, then weekly after that. Like all Bioderma products, the mask is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic - perfect for acne sufferers. It also works to raise your skin's tolerance to future stressors too, so it retains moisture more effectively in future - pure genius if you ask me.
