Twinings Flavoured Green Tea

Twinings Flavoured Indulgence Green Tea - £2.49 each

There's just something about Christmas time that makes it seem acceptable to drink gallons of flavoured coffee. It's a gingerbread latte. It's in a red cup. It's so festive! All the while overlooking there's probably more than your week's allowance of sugar in just one serving... not forgetting the inevitable afternoon caffeine shakes that follow a few hours later.

I must admit, I got into a pretty bad soy latte-a-day habit in December - gingerbread, eggnog, peppermint (if you haven't tried it, do!) - but alas, the time has come where I should probably give my body a break. Not to mention most of them have now been whisked off the menu to make way for the bleak, harsh reality of January. Thankfully, there's an alternative in the form of these 'indulgent' flavoured green teas from Twinings.

Like Twinings fruity green teas, they contain absolutely zero sugar and just 1 calorie per 100ml, so pretty negligible really. I tried the Salted Caramel, Caramelised Apple, Gingerbread, and Cherry Bakewell flavours - you can also get one called Fudge Melts but I'm not a huge fan of fudge so opted for these four instead. In terms of a favourite, it's a toss up between the Salted Caramel and Cherry Bakewell - the latter is a bit more refreshing and I could drink it at any time of day, whereas the richer caramel notes feel like more of a treat.

It's genuinely hard to believe how delicious these are. How have they infused the exact flavours of food into a tea? I have absolutely no idea, but I do know these are pretty much saving my sugar-addicted ass right now.
